Linking Policy

The hyperlinks ("links") in the various pages of pineyz.com allow the user to access other sites on the Internet. Unless otherwise expressly stated, the maintenance of the links should not be taken as a manifestation or reflection of any control, affiliation, endorsement or any other relationship between the sponsors of pineyz.com, the Piney-Z Plantation Homeowners Association (HOA) and Community Development District (CDD), and the operator of the other Web site. The Piney-Z Plantation HOA and CDD shall not be responsible in any manner for any of the content of any Web site to which pineyz.com links. The Piney-Z Plantation HOA and CDD shall not be responsible for changes, updates or unavailability of these linked Web sites. The Piney-Z Plantation HOA and CDD shall not be liable for any direct or indirect inconvenience, prejudice or damage to the user which may be caused by the accessing of other Web sites via the links.

Link and Advertiser Acceptance Criteria

At its discretion, the Piney-Z Plantation HOA and CDD will consider link requests to web sites that contain information and/or services that further the purpose of pineyz.com. The purpose of pineyz.com is to provide residents of Piney-Z Plantation electronic access to relevant community services and information.

Pineyz.com is not a forum for public communication and debate. The criteria outlined in this section have been established to ensure that pineyz.com remains a non-public forum.

Every link request must undergo review to determine its relevance and appropriateness to the purpose of pineyz.com. Links are approved for pineyz.com based on the following criteria:

The external web site corresponds with the purpose of pineyz.com.
The site’s content is appropriate with respect to the purpose of pineyz.com and the site is not a:
- Commercial site, which charges a fee for products or services online; (Notices of the availability of publications by government entities that charge for the publications or notices of government sponsored conferences that charge a registration fee are not commercial sites and may be considered for linking.)
- Site that exhibits hate, bias, discrimination, pornography, libelous or otherwise defamatory content;
- Site that advocates or promotes the use of alcohol, tobacco, or any controlled or illegal substance or activity;
- Site that lobbies, advocates, or advances the policies and priorities of a particular industry, organization or enterprise. This includes sites of non-profit organizations;
- Site belonging to or supporting a political affiliation; or
- Site that furthers the agenda of a political organization or candidate running for office.

The Piney-Z Plantation HOA and CDD reserve the right to deny or remove links if it determines that an advertisement or web site contains misleading or unsubstantiated claims, conflicts with the purpose of pineyz.com, or does not meet one or more of the criteria set forth above.

It is the advertiser’s responsibility to secure the legal right to use any image submitted to pineyz.com for advertising. The Piney-Z Plantation HOA and CDD shall be held harmless if any image submitted for use in an advertisement is a violation of copyright law.
